CIHR Skin Research Training Centre course participation grading criteria

SRTC scholarship recipients will be assessed on their course participation as part of their training and portfolio development.

Assessments of scholar involvement are based on the criteria below:

  1. Outstanding. Continually encouraging and supportive of others; outstanding leadership exercised responsibly; exemplary critical contribution; advanced interpersonal skills; facilitates the learning of others; volunteers; excellent attitude and effort; 100% punctual attendance and on-time assignment completion.
  2. Very Good. Demonstrates leadership and active support with colleagues; high level of critical contribution; near 100% punctual seminar and journal club attendance; assignments completed on-time; positive attitude and very high level of effort.
  3. Adequate. Works well with others, willing to contribute toward discussion and development of research; only 2-3 SRTC seminars and journal clubs with non-punctual/non-attendance; completed assignments on-time; satisfactory effort and attitude.
  4. Minimal. Makes limited contributions and support of others during SRTC seminars and workshops. More than 2-3 SRTC seminars and journal clubs with non-punctual/non attendance. Assignments not completed on-time. Motivation and initiative low. Minimal level of effort.
  5. Poor. Zero contribution and support given during seminar and journal club discussion processes. Poor punctual and attendance record. Assignments not completed on-time. Attitude, participation and effort do not meet minimal standards.
