Dr. Jan Dutz is the only physician in
Canada with dual certification in dermatology
and rheumatology and he conducts basic
research in immunology and transcutaneous
vaccine development. Dr. Dutz’s
Immunodermatology Lab is linked with
a Connective Tissue Diseases Clinic at
the Skin Care Centre and serves as a
quaternary referral service for complicated
cutaneous manifestations of rheumatologic
disorders. At the national level, Dr.
Dutz is a member of a CIHR Institute
Advisory Board and was one of the lead
organizers for the CIHR Skin Health Research
Priorities Workshop in Toronto in 2004.
