Dr. Aziz Ghahary is
Professor and Director of the BC Professional
Fire Fighters’ Burn and
Wound Healing Research Laboratory in
the Department
of Surgery and Division of Plastic Surgery
at UBC. Having more than 15 years of
experience in the field of dermal burns
and wound healing at the University of
Alberta, he accepted a professorship
at UBC. Dr. Ghahary’s new lab which
is well equipped with advanced instruments
to carry all techniques in the field
of skin biology, burns, and wound healing.
In 2005 Dr. Ghahary was recognized as
a CHIR Researcher of the Week and his
research activity has been highlighted
on CIHR’s website.
